Eureka — Privacy Policy

Eureka ("the app", "we") is a mental-math puzzle game. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices. The app is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over; it is not directed to children under 13.

Information we collect

• Anonymous device profile. When you first play, the app creates a random anonymous player ID stored on your device, along with a display name and avatar you choose.
• Optional sign-in. If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider to save your progress across devices. You can play as a guest without signing in.
• Gameplay data. Scores, ranks, in-game "Sparks" balance, streaks, achievements, and tournament/leaderboard entries.
• Approximate location. A coarse country / region / city derived from your IP address (via the third-party service ipwho.is) to power regional leaderboards. We do not collect precise GPS location.
• Usage analytics. Anonymous gameplay and interaction events, to understand and improve the game.

How we use information

To run the game and its features (leaderboards, daily challenges, tournaments, streaks, rewards), to save and sync your progress, to show advertising, and to improve the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• PostHog — privacy-conscious product analytics.
• Google AdMob — advertising in the mobile app.
• ipwho.is — IP-based approximate location.
• Google / Meta (Facebook) — optional sign-in.

Advertising

The mobile app may show ads via Google AdMob. Ads help keep the game free. You can reduce or remove ads via in-app options where available.

Children

Eureka is for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated data, email arjunsantosh.iitr@gmail.com with the subject "Eureka data deletion" and your player name or sign-in email. We will delete your data within 30 days. This page also serves as our data-deletion instructions for sign-in providers.

Your choices

You can play entirely as a guest, sign out at any time, and request data deletion as above. You can manage ad preferences through your device settings.
